WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congresswoman Leger Fernández released the following statement after voting against a partisan and extreme Continuing Appropriations and Other Matters Act of 2025 which failed to pass the House tonight by a vote of 202 yeas to 220 nays.

“Republicans would take paychecks from servicemembers, close Social Security offices and shutter National Parks to bow to President Trump’s demand to 'in no way, shape, or form, go forward with a continuing resolution on the budget’” said Congresswoman Leger Fernández

“Speaker Johnson, put the people first, bring us a clean government funding bill extension,” she concluded.
