Rep. Leger Fernández Secures Over $74 Million In Local Projects for NM-03

WASHINGTON – Today, Congresswoman Leger Fernández voted to fund over $74 million in Community Project Funding for the third congressional district of New Mexico.

Today, Congresswoman Leger Fernández voted to fund over $74 million in Community Project Funding for the third congressional district of New Mexico.  The Congresswoman worked with local communities to ensure the projects were included in the Fiscal Year 2022 appropriations legislation.

“With strong support from our communities, we delivered over $74 million in Community Projects para la gente. These funds will help communities across my district expand broadband access, build healthcare facilities, and bring clean water to the Navajo and Gallup areas. I look forward to seeing them propel New Mexicans from Farmington to Santa Fe to Clovis toward a more prosperous future.” said Leger Fernández.

Rep. Leger Fernández championed 9 projects, securing over $74 million in funding for Nuevo Mexicanos.

  • Broadband for Española: $879,506
  • San Felipe Community Center: $1,500,000
  • Navajo-Gallup Water Supply Project: $67,342,000
  • Big Brothers, Big Sisters (BBBS) and Boys and Girls Clubs (BGC) mentoring services and social programs: $225,000
  • Roosevelt Special Hospital Expansion: $600,000
  • San Juan College Student for Health Center: $1,100,000
  • Broadband Expansion for the Curry County Fairgrounds: $250,000
  • Historic Taos County Courthouse: $1,263,973
  • Santa Fe Public Housing Re-Roofing Project: $1,044,172
