Today, U.S. Representative Teresa Leger Fernández was finally sworn in as a Member of the United States House of Representatives. Rep. Leger Fernández released the following statement after taking the oath of office: “I am honored to take the oath of office for my second term to serve the people of New Mexico across our beautiful and beautifully diverse district,” said Leger Fernández. “We will continue building on the historic progress we made in the last two years. We’ve already started our ‘Farm to Congress’ conversations in anticipation of the upcoming Farm Bill which will have a significant impact on New Mexico’s agricultural economy and way of life. We will continue to address climate change, support our working families, and deliver economic opportunities to every part of New Mexico. We don’t want a single dime left in DC that can be put to good use for our communities.” The Honorable Teresa Leger Fernández was reelected to serve as representative of New Mexico’s 3rd Congressional District in 2022.
